Donna Nook - Weapons Training Range

A gorgeous area of land reserved for aerial weapons training and other air exercises, used by the RAF, Army, USAF and other visiting nationalities. Not only is this a weapons range but also a well know seal birthing ground, hosting thousands of breeding and birthing seals every single year from late October though to the following January.

A great scenic place that still, despite the dangerous sounding place that is, is open to the public (staying within the defined safety areas) it can be hard to catch aviation shots here because it is mainly down to luck that you will be there on a day where something is happening and the range over the last few years seems to be used less and less, but persistence and patience can and does pay off.
